Tin Tree Factory is Johnny Druelinger's solo acoustic project. Founder of St. Louis's free-wheeling punk/bluegrass hybrid The Monads, the multi-instrumental Johnny D. has proven himself to be a genre-busting creative force-to-be-reckoned-with throughout the region -- from his first foray into the scene with the strange humor and wild stage antics of his spastic ska-influenced punk trio The Phoney Moaners to the belligerent metalcore of Mad Chopper to the straight-ahead rock'n'roll of local favorite ResistAll.
Johnny D's eclectic mix of influences and his plethora of live musical experience have marinated together to produce Tin Tree Factory's tasty release, Rough Cuts (due out this summer). Inspired by ethnic folk and gypsy jazz, Rough Cuts is a neo-folk indie album which ranges in tone from the poetic and emotional to the ironic and political.
John's earnest, intelligent, and witty songwriting is unfettered by conventional style and genre. His project, Tin Tree Factory, is sure to appeal to the sonic sensibilities of a diverse and musically intelligent audience.
