Stendek homecoming

in early august, phil returned to st louis for a week to play the euphio campout at bearcat. while in the area, he played additional shows at kryptonite in rockford, il & at sally t's (of course), & we visited ryne in the hospital when his appendix burst.

highlights included:

- two hours of improv covers at kryptonite with nez & mark muraski

- taping a segment for Midcoast Mania outside sally t's while phil was joined onstage by the illustrious scott freeman (The Unholy Effers, ex-Sullen, ex-Suffrajett)

- sitting at denny's till 4am with brian scheffer while he & phil dorked out

- driving to lesterville with phil & cat & jenny (two of his sisters), stopping at a gas station around 130am on the way back b/c we were all about to burst our kidneys, listening to tim buckley's "lorca," & eating at the waffle house in festus
