on june 19, 2004, MHR presented the first annual Will Rock For Food benefit show, with all proceeds going to the St Louis Area Foodbank. eight bands, six hours, & nearly nine thousand pounds of food in canned goods & monetary donations. the first Will Rock For Food compilation is still for sale at Vintage Vinyl, as are a few of the remaining hand-screened & -painted t-shirts. highlights included Tok's entire face-melting set, the reunion of the Phoney Moaners, Village Idiot playing the same song five times (it was about nipples), & an altercation at the door. also, satan showed up. |
