housekeeping

put up a couple new photo albums, also added katy's photo (finally) to the hall of shame. not much else going on around here.

oh, i DID hear a rumor that jason & james of the monads have booked a show at sally t's on the 23rd of this month under that very same moniker, so who knows? maybe the monads will undergo a resurrection of sorts. (!!!!!!!)

ps, you think i'm joking but i'm totally not.

yeah, i got nothin'

there are shows, there are holidays, there are bands beginning work on new albums & other bands putting the finishing touches on existing albums, there are people coming in from out of town, there are exciting things ahead in the not-so-distant future w/r/t this website & paypal, there are things relating to pad thai (specifically, pad thai going in my mouth), & that's about all i've got.

oh, & we're approaching our one year anniversary in four days -- phil signed his contract with us on 24 november 2003 -- & in my opinion, we've got a whole lot to show for it. so sit down, kiddo, & let's make a deal: we'll keep doing what we do if you keep supporting us. ok?

suit B deemed unsuitable for radio; thousands protest, rivers of blood flow through the streets of maplewood

our very own suit A (the lovely & articulate caroline hackmeyer) will be discussing local record labels on The Wire on KDHX next monday, november 15, at 730pm. there will be other guests, some of them of the surprise variety (b/c, um, i don't know who they're gonna be right now), & there's a good chance that candy will somehow be involved, b/c candy is good & right & true & definitely 100% connected to running a record label. suit B won't be on the air, as she's a self-described "social retard" with all the eloquence of a "cucumber." also, she has many important things to do that night. such as cleaning grout with a toothbrush. & rolling pennies.

ps, don't forget that MHR's errant golden child, Stendek, will be returning to the area for ONE SHOW ONLY at sally t's on friday, november 26, before he bops back off to do whatever it is he's doing out in las vegas. there will also be a show at kryptonite in rockford (il) on saturday, november 27. i'm not gonna boss you around, but you may want to consider roadtripping.
